Overview: This money is used to serve all adults in need of employment services in the three county area. There are eligibility requirements as defined in the Workforce Investment Act and implemented by the Workforce Investment Board. It includes funding for the delivery of core, intensive, and training services through the three Illinois workNet Centers located in DeKalb, Elgin and North Aurora. This funding will be linked to other sources of funding from partners in the workforce development system for the three county area.

Overview: This money is used to serve adults who have lost their employment through termination, layoff, or other causes. There are eligibility requirements for these clients and the primary areas of service are intensive and training services as defined in the Workforce Investment Act and implemented by the Workforce Investment Board.

Overview: This money is used to fund the delivery of employment services to youth between the ages of 14 and 21 who meet certain eligibility requirements as identified in the Workforce Investment Act. These services can include mentoring programs, work experience, academic preparation, on the job training, community services, subsidized employment, and job search.

Overview: Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) and Alternative Trade Adjustment Assistance (ATAA) help trade-affected workers who have lost their jobs as a result of increased imports or shifts in production out of the United States. Certified individuals may be eligible to receive one or more program benefits and services depending on what is needed to return them to employment.
